Marrow Donor Information
My GOAL: when a Transplant Match is needed, a donor will be there on the National Marrow Registry...for every person regardless of their ethnicity.

I am happy to say I am still cancer free after 12 years. I am dedicated to raising funds in order to place more members on the National Marrow Registry. You can support this project by making a tax deductible contribution here:

MY TRANSPLANT JOURNEY VIDEO

My name is Pamela Moore and I am a Bone Marrow Transplant Survivor! I was matched for a donor through the National Bone Marrow Registry in 1997. I had my transplant in Seattle, WA on August 13, 1998 and my donor is from California. Lisa was on the Registry for nine (9) years before she was called about being a donor for me. She became a donor because her 15 year old nephew did not survive Leukemia while waiting for a donor. I was very fortunate to have English/Scottish heritage that was described as "very common" HLA or genetic typing. So when it was determined I had no family members that were compatible to be a donor, my doctors turned to the National Bone Marrow Registry.

Here is a video sharing my Transplant Journey. I was in Seattle, WA for 100 days.
